Recent and forthcoming engagements include performances with Scottish Opera, where she joins the 2026/27 season in three productions and covers the role of The Aunt, in Puccini's Madama Butterfly.
A graduate of Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Claudia continued her vocal training at Wales International Academy of Voice, studying with the renowned tenor Dennis O'Neill CBE. Earlier studies included training at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, following a career change from policing to pursue music professionally.
Claudia's operatic repertoire includes Countess Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro), First Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte), Ines (Il Trovatore), Nedda (Pagliacci), Dido (Dido and Aeneas), and Amaryllis in The Spring, James Harris's rediscovered eighteenth-century pasticcio, performed for Opera at Chilmark and revived during the Salisbury International Arts Festival.
Her performances have attracted critical acclaim. Opera Magazine praised her 'charmingly sung Amaryllis', while Birmingham Post described her as the 'bright, bell-like soprano... delivering some of the most compelling singing of the night' for her portrayal of Nedda in Pagliacci.
Claudia has appeared with companies including Opera de Baugé, Opera at Chilmark, Midland Opera, Celebrate Voice, and Absolute Classics. Recent vocal recitals include 'For the Love of Burns' presenting classical song arrangements of Robert Burns's poetry and song; 'From Operetta to Musical' a glittering showcase of popular and lesser-known operatic classics; 'Walter Scott in Music & Song' was performed with Scottish Ensemble, as part of Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival. She has also appeared as a soloist on BBC Radio Scotland's Classics Unwrapped.
Her wider achievements include the Bayreuth Scholarship awarded by the Wagner Society of Scotland (2018), the Gil Rodriguez Scholarship at Opera de Baugé (2019), finalist in the Janet Price Opera Prize (RWCMD, 2018), and Third Prize in the Edward Brooks English Song Prize (RBC, 2016). Her studies at Wales International Academy of Voice were generously supported by The Kathleen Trust and The Mario Lanza Education Foundation.
Claudia is former Chair and Trustee of Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival (now Arts D&G), where she played a key role in guiding the organisation through its successful transition to Creative Scotland Multi-Year Funding. She is also a Producer and Artistic Director of Blackbird Opera, most recently establishing music events at Barwhillanty Estate, including a summer picnic prom and semi-staged opera.
